Endoscopic Forehead Lift

All of us dream about the beauty and consistency of our faces, despite the different beauty standards from one person to another. Now plastic surgeries solve all facial problems and aim to harmonize all features with each other, and the most important of these surgeries is the endoscopic forehead lift surgery.

What is an endoscopic forehead lift?
It is a process used by plastic surgeons to remove and tighten sagging areas of the forehead, eyes, and eyelids, and remove any wrinkles in them to improve the shape of the face and give it a tight, youthful appearance.

Advantages of the endoscopic forehead lift surgery with Prof. Dr. Ahmed El Sherifa:
Tighten the forehead, hide any wrinkles, and give it a youthful appearance.
Immediate change after the surgery, but the final result of the surgery will appear gradually over time.
•      Short surgical duration, not exceeding 2 hours.
Deal with some vision-related problems in some cases.
Highest safety levels compared to other surgical procedures.
Percentage of swelling and bruising is much less than in traditional surgical lifts.
Recovery period is much less than normal, as the patient can return to his daily life after 2 weeks, and the final result appears after about 6 months.

Who is the ideal candidate for endoscopic forehead surgery?
It is possible to perform endoscopic forehead lift surgeries for:
Who has deep wrinkles on the forehead, around the eyes, and below the eyebrows, and he is thirty-five years old.
Whose forehead contains longitudinal wrinkles between the eyebrows that hide the beauty of his appearance.
Who has a lower-level eyebrow than the other.
Who finds it difficult to deal with his facial wrinkles without surgical intervention.
Who has an asymmetry on one side of the face over the other.
Who has saggy skin on the neck that affects his self-satisfaction.

Steps for tightening the sagging forehead endoscopically with Prof. Dr. Ahmed El Sherifa:
The endoscope is a very precise device, so its surgical incisions are very tiny, ranging from 1 to 2 centimeters. After applying general anesthesia, Prof. Dr. Ahmed El Sherifa will make two precise surgical incisions in the scalp and the forehead. He inserts the endoscope device, equipped with a light and a camera at the end, so he can easily see the eyebrow and forehead area through them. Then he tightens the eyebrow and forehead area, then pulls the eyebrows up. Then he closes those surgical openings with fine cosmetic threads so no surgical scars may appear later.

What are the other techniques for tightening forehead wrinkles?
Other than the endoscopic forehead lift, there are four types of forehead lift interventions:
1. Laser forehead wrinkle tightening: It is used in the case of simple wrinkles or sagging in people with light skin color. It is done by targeting a laser beam in the place of wrinkles or sagging, as it stimulates the secretion of collagen. It is applied for more than one treatment session ranging from 6 to 8 sessions until the results appear in the best way.
2. Lifting forehead wrinkles with threads: It relies on tightening the sagging of the forehead, eyes, and eyebrows using specific threads that stimulate the production of collagen, and it gives instantaneous results immediately after the procedures.
3. Chemical forehead wrinkle lift: It depends on applying Botox of Filler. Botox reduces the nerve signals that reach the muscle and thus relaxes it and reduces the shape of sagging and wrinkles. Filler fills the place of sagging.
4. Surgical forehead wrinkle lift: It is a surgical tightening that occurs by making a surgical incision that connects the left and right ears. Its aim is tightening the excess skin in this area, and thus wrinkles and sagging disappear clearly.

Before the endoscopic forehead surgery, Prof. Dr. Ahmed El Sherifa will advise you:
Stop eating foods or drinks at least 8 hours before the surgery.
Tell your surgeon about all the medications you take.
Ensure that he has a family history of any genetic diseases.
Stay away from drinking any alcohol, aspirin, or smoking for at least a month before the endoscopic forehead surgery.
Perform some laboratory tests to ensure your health and suitability for the procedure.

The advice of Prof. Dr. Ahmed El Sherifa after the endoscopic forehead lift:
Return to your normal life after a period ranging from 10 to 16 days after the surgery.
•  The simple feeling of pain will continue for several days after the surgery but will decrease significantly over time.
Avoid practicing any types of sports, violent exercises, or exaggerated physical activities for at least a month after the endoscopic forehead lift procedure; to avoid increasing the swelling or an adverse consequence of tightening.
Try to make the head vertical for not less than 24 hours from the time of the surgery to reduce the swelling resulting from it.

What is the difference between an endoscopic forehead lift and a traditional facelift?
1. The main difference between an endoscopic forehead lift and a traditional facelift is the surgical incisions that are made in the forehead and scalp. An endoscopic forehead lift produces thinner incisions in unseen places, such as the scalp.
2. Endoscopy is the safest forehead lift technique compared to traditional surgery, as it does not cause deep surgical intervention in the tissues of the face, neck, or forehead.
3. The facial features and their consistency with each other are better after the endoscopic facelift than the traditional facial surgery, in which the asymmetry rate is high.
4. The time to perform an endoscopic forehead lift is much shorter than that of traditional surgery.

Complications that may result from endoscopic forehead lift in some cases:
The appearance of scars or surgical incisions resulting from the lift in the forehead and the scalp, but the final result of the lift may make you ignore it.
The result of the lifting surgery may be unsatisfactory due to the occurrence of asymmetry in the two halves of the face, and the level of one of the eyebrows is higher than the level of the other.
In some people, the surgery may sometimes cause a temporary loss or drop in the area surrounding the surgical incision.
A change in sensation in the area, but it is usually a temporary change.
